Volunteer Note Takers Sought To Help Students With Disabilities

ACCESS Services at North Campus, 11380 N.W. 27 Ave., is looking for volunteer note takers.

Participants in the program take notes for fellow students with disabilities, who can’t take notes for themselves, in exchange for community service hours..

“In order to document the hours done while volunteering as a note taker, one must go through the service learning office,” said Crystal Miranda from ACCESS Services. “Note taking for a fellow student with a disability is a great service learning opportunity.”

There are no minimum or maximum amount of hours required, but you must be reliable and have good handwriting in order to participate.

If you are interested in signing up, bring a copy of your degree audit to Room 6111, and speak with Crystal Miranda.

For more information, contact Crystal Miranda at 305-237-8217 or cmiranda@mdc.edu
