Urbana Named Innovation Pacemaker Finalist

Urbana, the literary arts magazine at the Eduardo J. Padrón Campus, has been selected as a finalist for the Associated Collegiate Press’s Innovation Pacemaker Award

The publication is one of eight finalists for the award. It was selected based on its recent media expansion, which includes a new podcast and website and revamped social media.

Pacemakers are the top national prizes for literary magazines. This is the first year the Innovation Pacemaker is being given.

Urbana is also a finalist for the ACP’s Design of the Year Award and the Best Use of Social Media in the Social Media Promotion category.

Winners will be announced during the ACP/CMA Fall National College Media Convention, which will be held virtually on Oct. 22.
