The Nutcracker Performance at Miami-Dade County Auditorium

A collaboration between the Thomas Armour Youth Ballet (TAYB) and the New World School of the Arts (NWSA) brings the all-time classical ballet The Nutcracker to the Miami-Dade County Auditorium on Dec. 5, at 2901 West Flagler St., at 7 p.m.

In addition to students from the TAYB foundation and NWSA, dancers from the region audition to participate in this grand production as do guest soloists from ballet companies around the country. According to TAYB’s director, Ruth Wiesen, this year’s guests are Xiomara Reyes, newly retired from American Ballet Theatre, and Lyvan Vedecia from Ballet Hispanico in New York City.

Tickets range from $12 to $32 and may be purchased online.

For further information about the event, contact TAYB’s director Ruth Wiesen at 305-667-5543 or NWSA’s dean Mary Burns at 305-237-3341.
