The Koubek Center At Miami Dade College Opens

The Miami Dade College Koubek Center, 2705 S.W. 3rd St., hosted its official opening on July 9.

The Koubek Center, a historical and cultural landmark in South Florida, consists of theatres, galleries, space for book readings, black boxes and five classrooms.

Special guests at the opening included Olga María Touzet Guillot, daughter of musical legends Olga Guillot and Renѐ Touzet, and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and MDC alumni Nilo Cuz.

The Koubek Center is part of MDCulture, the Cultural Affairs Department at the College.
