Highest Honor: President Barack Obama awarded Miami Dade College President Eduardo J. Padrón the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilain honor, during a ceremony in the White House on Nov. 22. Padrón was honored for his work in education. Upon his return to Miami, students, faculty and staff surprised him with a celebration on Nov. 23 at the Wolfson Campus.

We Are The Champions: The Miami Dade College women’s volleyball team celebrates their 2016 Women’s National Volleyball Championship title during an event at Kendall Campus on Nov. 23. The Lady Sharks won their ninth national title in volleyball on Nov. 19 after defeating Iowa Western Community College 3-0 in the championship game in Casper, Wyoming.
