New Honors College Director At Kendall Campus

Karletty Medina has been selected as the new director of the Honors College at Kendall Campus.

Medina has a bachelor of arts degree in international relations and Hispanic studies from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts. She also has a master of arts degree in intercultural relations from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Medina has been working in higher education as an administrator and adjunct professor for more than ten years. She has worked in academic advising, enrollment services, and development at Northern Essex Community College in Lawrence, Massachusetts.

“The Honors College program is a prestigious program recognized nationwide,” Medina said. “I like the opportunity the position offers to work closely with my students, while also administering the program. “

Bianka Orjuela

Bianka Orjuela, 20, is a mass communications/journalism major at Kendall Campus. Orjuela, a 2014 graduate of South Dade Senior High School, will serve as a staff writer for The Reporter during the 2015-2016 school year. She aspires to become an investigative journalist and to write a book chronicling her father’s life.
