New Director Of New Student Center

Yvette Sheran began her position as director of the New Student Center at North Campus on Aug. 14.

“I hope to continue to build upon the wonderful relationships that have already been established within the campus, college and community so that we can continue to serve our students with excellent service,” Sheran said.

Before her current position, she served as the director of Advisement & Career Services at West Campus. Sheran has served in various capacities at Miami Dade College including Student Life Director, Student Government Association Advisor, Assistant to Director of Student Administrative Service and Campus Services Supervisor. She started at the College as a trouble clerk at the Kendall Campus in 1999 and later moved on to work as a clerk in the InterAmerican Campus in 2000 prior to moving to West Campus.

The New Student Center assists prospective and first-time students through pre-admission advisors and orientations. As director, she will oversee testing, international student services and recruitment.
