Miami Dade College Live Arts Presents Timbalive

Miami Dade College Live Arts will feature a performance by Timbalive, a popular Cuban timba band, at the Koubek Center, 2705 S.W. Third St., on March 18 at 8 p.m.

The Cubadisco nominated Timbalive will feature a night full of rhythm and salsa. The group is one of the biggest and most successful timba/salsa groups in the United States and the world. It features musicians who attended music schools in Cuba. The high-octane, 10-member group offers some of the best Cuban music as well as rhythms from all around the world. Timbalive has traveled around the world to Europe, Mexico, South America and many U.S. states.

Admission is $10 for adults. Kids 12 and under are free.

Alejandra Zimmermann

Alejandra Zimmermann, 19, is a mass communications/journalism major in the Honors College at Kendall Campus. Zimmermann, a 2015 graduate of G. Holmes Braddock Senior High School, will serve as a staff writer in the briefing section of The Reporter during the 2015-16 school year. While at Braddock, she served as a section editor at the GHB Times. Zimmermann aspires to become a journalist for The New York Times.
