MDC School Of Science Offers $3,000 Scholarship

A STEP-UP for the Life of Science Scholarship is offering a $3,000 award, through the School of Science for low-income undergraduate students pursuing a high wage, high growth science profession.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, registered Miami Dade College student, have at least 18 credit hours remaining toward their AA or AS degree, be a declared science major, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and completed their FAFSA form for the academic year.

Health Science majors and students in a Bachelor’s program are not eligible to apply.

Students must submit a scholarship application form and a double-spaced, two page essay typed in 12 point font, focusing on their academic goals, elaborate on the specific science industry they want to work in, and why.

All entries must be submitted to Pablo Sacasa, on the third floor of the North Campus Science Complex, by March 31 for fall term or Sept. 30 for spring term.
