MDC Partners With Social Media Management Platform HootSuite

Miami Dade College’s Business and Technology Innovation Center partnered with Hootsuite to provide faculty and students with professional social media tools and resources.

Hootsuite’s Student Program includes access to its Free Dashboard that allows students to explore basic features like message scheduling and audience engagement; free online video courses at the Hootsuite Academy; and free certifications in areas like social marketing.

“With the ongoing growth of social media platforms, it makes a lot of sense to partner with an industry-leading company like Hootsuite,” said Jose Lasheras, director of the College’s Business Innovation & Technology Center. “With the foundation already set by their studies at MDC, this new partnership will help further prepare students for future employment.”

A virtual information session with Hootsuite’s CEO, Tom Keiser, will take place on Dec. 17 at noon via Blackboard Collaborate. Students can register here to receive a link.
