Kendall Campus To Host Spoken Word Poetry Event

To close Black History Month celebrations at Kendall Campus, the Student Life Department and Florida State University’s student performance group Artistic Deliverers for Hostile Diction, will present Poetry In Motion, a spoken word event, on Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. at Kendall Campus 11011 S.W. 104th St., Room K413.

“The event is a cultural experience and a spoken word poetry event, which is a unique form of poetry that I believe will open the eyes of a lot of people to the art form,” said Lauren Adamo, director of the Student Life Department at Kendall Campus. “We encourage people to come learn, watch,  enjoy and eat some good food while they’re there.”

The event is open to students and staff. Refreshments will be provided and attendees are encouraged to RSVP by sending an email to ladamo@mdc.edu.
