Executive Director Of Cultural Affairs Selected For Prestigious Fellowship

Natalia Crujeiras, executive director of cultural affairs at Miami Dade College, was selected among ten mid-career individuals around the country for the 2020 Eisenhower USA Fellowship Program

Crujeiras, who oversees culture and arts programming at the College, will begin the year-long program during a conference at the Eisenhower Fellowship headquarters in Philadelphia in April. She will travel to Belgium and Indonesia to meet with business leaders this year.

“I am particularly interested in learning about impact investment and entrepreneurial philanthropy,” Crujeiras said. “There is extensive research supporting the pivotal role of the creative industries in stimulating economic growth and fostering equitable development.”

Eisenhower Fellowships strives to help professionals across the United States find opportunities to tackle deeply-rooted issues around the world.

Crujeiras earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and visual arts from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in 2000, and later graduated with a master’s degree in communications and broadcast journalism from the University of Miami in 2001.
