Beverly Moore-Garcia Named West Campus President

Beverly Moore-Garcia was selected as West Campus president. She started Sept. 30.

Moore-Garcia is in charge of leading West Campus’ daily operations and reporting to college-wide administration. In May, her contract as president of West and Kendall Campus was not renewed.

She has worked at Miami Dade College since 2007 save for a three-year recess when she served as vice president of Northwest Community College in Canada. Moore-Garcia has served in several capacities at the College such as associate provost of faculty initiatives, associate provost for academic affairs, vice provost of academic affairs and president of West and Kendall Campus.

She earned a master’s degree in international development education and doctorate in higher education administration, both from Florida International University. Moore-Garcia also has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada.
