Art Contest For Miami Dade College’s Food Pantry

The South Florida Educational Federal Credit Union is hosting its second annual art contest to raise funds for Miami Dade College’s food pantry college-wide. 

Students must submit an original piece of artwork that corresponds to this year’s theme, My Miami: Celebrating the Culture, Landscapes, and People of your Miami Experience

Artwork must be 8 x 10 inches, contain an original title and include a personal statement. Students are allowed to submit one artwork. 

The winner will receive $500 and have their design featured on a T-shirt and sold at all SFEFCU branches. Two runner-ups will get $250 each.

Entries must be submitted by Nov. 22 at 6 p.m.

Alina Halley, 21, is a mass communications major at North Campus. Halley, who graduated from Coral Reef Senior High School in 2018, will serve as a news, forum and briefing writer for The Reporter during the 2020-21 school year. She aspires to be a journalist.
