ACCESS Department Looking For Student Volunteers

A Comprehensive Center for Exceptional Student Services (ACCESS), is looking for student volunteers at all Miami Dade campuses to help students with disabilities to take notes in classes, with tutoring and to assist students with reading.

All volunteers must be registered MDC students. Volunteers do not need experience in order to be eligible but are required to fill out an application.

“Volunteers often comment on their positive learning experience working with ACCESS students,” said Elizabeth Smith, the director of the ACCESS Department at Kendall Campus. “Survey feedback from ACCESS students has been extremely positive in terms of their satisfaction with the services provided by their volunteer.”

Volunteering hours can be customized around students schedule. For information on office hours and location in each campus, visit their website.
