Museum Of Art + Design To Host New Exhibitions

The Miami Dade College Campus Galleries of Art + Design will be presenting several new art exhibitions this semester on different campuses that are free and open to the public.

Maria Fernanda Laire’s show: Fusion at MDC West, 3800 N.W. 115 Ave. Room 1105 in Doral, features graphic designs, drawings, photography and paintings that she used to create new mixed media works through April 17.

Juan Raul Hoyos’ show Architectural Playground will be featured at the MDC Kendall Campus, 11011 S.W. 104 St., in the Martin and Pat Fine Center for the Arts (building M), through March 11. His artwork focuses on the city that surrounds us and the characteristics of urban growth.

Carlos Domenech’s  Selected Works will be on display at the Centre Gallery of the Wolfson Campus, 300 N.E. 2nd Ave. through March 11. Domenech is an architectural and fine art photographer whose works have been featured in Architectural Digest, Casa Vogue Spain, AD Italy, House & Garden Australia, House Beautiful, Metropolitan Home, Southern Accents, Veranda and various travel books.

The Hialeah Campus Gallery, 1780 W. 49 St., will be presenting an art exhibition by Franky Cruz, Jonathan De Camps and Ernesto Maranje, through April 2016. The exhibit will include installations, photographs and murals along with videos.

Gallery talks given by the artists to art and architecture students are scheduled for 2016. Adrianna Herrera of Aluna Curatorial Collective is also scheduled to give a gallery talk in February.
